Titusville faces the launch area across the Indian River. Cocoa Beach has the region's best-known surf strip. Cape Canaveral adjoins the cruise port, while Melbourne pairs a downtown district with South Brevard beaches. Kennedy Space Center and Merritt Island occupy the protected and operational landscape between them.
