The Atlantic barrier island, Indian River mainland, launch complex, cruise port, and South Brevard beaches form one long region divided by water and causeways.
Kennedy Space Center and Merritt Island form an attraction and refuge landscape rather than a hotel district. Titusville, Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, and Melbourne each support an overnight stay with different access to the river, ocean, port, and southern beaches.
